Michelin Opens its Fourth Family Health Center

As part of its commitment to the health and well-being of its employees, Michelin has opened a new Michelin Family Health Center to serve our Lexington, S.C. site plants (US5 and US7).

The Michelin Family Health Centers provide convenient, affordable access to a full suite of quality health care services. Michelin's centers and its award-winning health care programs are based on the belief that over the long term, it is in the best interest of both employees and the company for employees to improve and maintain their health.

"We are pleased the family health care center is now open for our employees and their families to use," said Bryan Dunlap, Lexington site manager. "The health and well-being of our employees and their families is extremely important to us - and this center demonstrates how our Company lives its core value of Respect for People."

In addition to the new Lexington location, which is the fourth one to open, other Michelin Family Health Centers are located at the North American Headquarters and Donaldson Center Campus, both in Greenville, S.C.; and in Ardmore, Okla.

The Michelin Family Center in Lexington is staffed and managed by the nation's leading workplace health provider – Take Care Health Systems. Using evidence-based practices and tools, the staff applies leading-edge medical knowledge and thinking in administering care. Take Care Health Systems has been providing these services for more than 40 years and operates hundreds of workplace health centers across the nation for a variety of clients, including many Fortune 500 companies.

The Company also utilized a diverse supplier, Native American-owned Metcon, to construct the new center. The Michelin Purchasing Department has a supplier diversity program in which we utilize diverse suppliers and small businesses in the purchasing process. As a result, we have helped these companies grow as well as helped to fuel the local economies as we leverage the quality products and services and innovative solutions that these suppliers offer.
