The importance of supporting community colleges in North Carolina’s economic development aligns with the company’s core values—People, Integrity, Commitment, and Community.

“As a member of the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina Board of Directors, I believe community colleges are one of the most important drivers of economic development in North Carolina,” said Aaron Thomas, President & CEO of Metcon, Inc. “They prepare the workforce that allows business to grow and communities to thrive.”

Thomas said. “Student-athletes gain more than just time on the field, they develop discipline, teamwork, resilience, and leadership while pursuing their education. Those experiences help prepare them not only for graduation, but for meaningful careers where they can contribute to their communities and our state’s economy.”

“We are proud to support Robeson Community College and the important role it plays in building opportunity and strengthening our community,” he added.
