The Mitchell Sitework project includes parking and sidewalk work on Fayetteville State University campus. Includes the use of “Bioretention” systems that use vegetation, such as trees, shrubs, and grasses, to remove pollutants from storm water runoff. Sources of runoff are diverted into Bioretention systems directly as overland flow or through a storm water drainage system.

Site work for the Mitchell Site project includes “Permeable Paving” which allows for quicker drainage which is helpful in recharging groundwater and reducing storm water drainage.

Included in the project are also four electric vehicle charging stations reserved for police traffic enforcement officers.
