Fayetteville Technical Community College, Swift Water Rescue Training Facility

Fayetteville Technical Community College, Unveiling the Swift Water Rescue Training Facility

  • Location: Lumberton, NC
  • Architect:  HH Architecture

The facility features an impressive 80×40-foot tank, filled up to 6 feet deep, providing 140,000 gallons of water for rescuers to train in. With ten electric-powered pumps, we can create surface water speeds up to 7 knots and undercurrents at speeds of up to 3 knots, ensuring our team is well-prepared for any water rescue scenario.

But that’s not all! The training facility is adaptable to simulate day or nighttime lighting, various weather conditions, and multiple rescue scenarios. This versatility allows us to provide realistic training experiences for  rescuers.
