Goal One: Safety – Metcon Honored with Three Prestigious Safety Awards
Metcon is proud to announce that the company has earned three major safety awards in 2025, including the NUCA of the Carolinas Safety Award for the second consecutive year in the Over 300,000 Manhours category.
The NUCA award was presented during this year’s NUCA of the Carolinas Spring Conference and recognizes Metcon’s continued commitment to creating and maintaining safe work environments across its projects.
As part of the conference, Jason Jackowitz, Metcon’s Director of Safety, presented on the company’s Goal One Safety program, highlighting the Safe Start process and key components of Metcon’s Utility Strike Prevention Program. These initiatives are designed to ensure that every project begins with a clear plan, strong communication, and a shared commitment to sending everyone home safely each day.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire team,” said Jackowitz. “Safety is not a single program or checklist; it is a culture built through planning, communication, accountability, and the daily commitment of every person on our jobsites.”
In addition to the NUCA Safety Award, Metcon has also received the ABC Diamond STEP Award and the North Carolina Department of Labor Safety Award this year.
