The newly built Thomas A. Hunter Elementary School is 100,000 sf and it includes several items such as a large multipurpose room, dining room, updated kitchen, art room, music room, reading room, computer lab, outdoor courtyard, large classrooms, VCT flooring, CMU walls, brick veneer, multiple parking lots, and etc. The new school is equipped with new energy efficient LED lighting which will help cut down on the amount of energy being used. The large windows and tubular daylight devices throughout the building will also help channel natural light into the build; which makes for a better learning environment.
