Winning Work in a Pandemic
As Covid-19 Pandemic continues its assault on the US and the world, finding ways to conduct the essential business of construction gets more and more complicated. However, for the Metcon Team – winning work continues.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools announced Thursday, April 23, 2020, that the new relief elementary school, Bain Elementary, be awarded to Metcon Construction as Construction Manager. The 102,000 SF school will be designed by FWA Group of Charlotte and is slated to start construction early Summer 2021.
“This is certainly a blessing during these uncertain times. CMS has been a great client and we look forward to continuing our commitment of building 21st century learning environments,” says Angela Carter, Director of Business Development and Metcon’s Community and Education Foundation. “Education is who we are. Our preconstruction services team has done a fine job on our current CMS School under contract – Nations Ford. Repeat work is a true testimony to how we perform, which is everything.”
