Mecklenburg County, Mint Hill Elementary School

Mint Hill Elementary School is a brand new 102,245 SF elementary school for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools on a site next to the already existing Mint Hill Middle School. Mint Hill Elementary School has a capacity of 1,350 students in grades K-5. The new school is built from structural steel and masonry on conventional spread foundations.
Metcon was able to complete this building on time in 441 days, which was the original contract finish date. They obtained their official Certificate of Occupancy on September 28th. We are proud of our team for overcoming supply chain issues to finish the project on time, on budget, and open the school for the 2022-23 school year.
