Steven has extensive experience in various leadership roles with increased levels of responsibility with local, state, national and international corporations such as Robeson Community College, Lumbee River EMC, Scotland Health, Tredegar, Campbell Soup, Unilever, and WestPoint Stevens. During these roles, Hunt gained extensive analytical reasoning using metrics as the foundational block for creating performance-based teams. He is skilled in TPM, DMAIC, Six Sigma, LEAN, Customer Service, Value Stream Mapping, Strategic Planning and Business Process Improvement.

Prior to his corporate career, Steven served as a Captain in the United States Air Force and earned a B.S. from UNC Pembroke in 1988.  He and his lovely wife, Nicole, reside in Pembroke, have four children and four grandchildren. Hunt enjoys farming, hunting, motorcycle riding, and is active in his church as an associate minister. He serves on the NC Works Commission appointed by Governor Roy Cooper in December 2019 and serves on the Lumbee Tribe Enterprises Board selected by the LTE, LLC Board of Directors in May 2021.
