On October 14, 2021 Metcon celebrated and participated in the Charlotte Minority Enterprise Development Week that consisted of symposiums, workshops, a business expo and finally, an awards luncheon recognizing outstanding programs and minority businesses in the Charlotte Mecklenburg area.
Metcon was awarded Diversity Agency of the Year by the Charlotte Minority Enterprise Development Council for our continued support, and advocacy, and commitment to Minority Contractors on our projects. A true testament to not only our efforts in obtaining high minority participation on our projects, but how fairly we treat our subcontractors and our commitment to helping minority and HUB firms be successful on our projects.
This Diversity and Inclusion Culture is very important as we continue to grow as a company. As a minority firm, we are judged more by our behaviors and our programs than any of our competition. Looking across NC, more and more clients are embracing diversity enterprises and the importance of MWBE. We are perfectly positioned to capitalize on these opportunities and to help grow the next generation of minority firms.
